Happiness is an arm full of freshly cut spring flowers. There are few flowers that would bring such joy as a fluffy, bouncy, fragrant bouquet as lilacs. Lilac is one of the first spring bloomers that has been beloved for centuries for its scent, despite how fleeting it is. Perfume houses used the single most intense ways to preserve the delicate essence of fresh lilac flowers, called enflourage. Fresh lilac flowers were gently pressed into a solid fat, removed, and replaced each day for as long as the perfumers could obtain fresh flowers. This way, the heat does not denature the scent and it could be enjoyed year round - quite a way to flash wealth back in the day (violets also got the same treatment). In modern days, we can appreciate these wonderful flowers year round.
This small batch of soap features a purple-gray soap with a floral lace pattern accentuated by medium cool-purple mica with extra white-to-purple shimmering mica glitter.
*This batch has tiny brown spots where fragrance oil was not able to fully blend into the soap. It is still wholly safe to use as usual, but has some small visual imperfections.

To help your soaps last longer, keep them in a dry and ventilated area between uses. This isn't a general warning - it really does help!
All soaps from Redwood Soaps are small batch produced and made with saponified oils, fragrance oils, essential oils, skin safe micas, skin safe pigments, and other luxury ingredients. This means it uses all natural ingredients and the traditional way of making soap from scratch.
